We were delighted to represent Killorglin at the FRC National Forum Annual Conference last week — what an inspiring gathering of Family Resource Centres from across the country. A special honour to be in the room with President Catherine Connolly and Minister Norma Foley as we reflected on the vital work being done in communities like ours.
Summer Food Drive
A huge thank you to the Killorglin community and local businesses who responded so generously to our Summer Food Drive. With the school holidays just around the corner, we were able to put together food parcels for families in our area — a small gesture that means so much. Your kindness never ceases to amaze us.
Staff Wellbeing Evening
And to finish off a busy week on a high — our team came together for a wellbeing evening last night. Our staff are our greatest asset, and taking time to invest in them is something we are truly committed to at KCFRC. A well-supported team means better support for the families and individuals we serve every day.
A well deserved restful weekend was needed before we do it all again!
It's Men's Health Week 2026 — and this year's message is one we love: One Step at a Time.
This week (15–21 June), communities across Ireland are coming together to remind men and boys that looking after your health doesn't have to mean big changes or perfection — it just means taking the next small step.
A walk. A conversation. Picking up the phone. Letting someone in.
At Killorglin Community & Family Resource Centre, we know that reaching out isn't always easy — but it matters. Our door on Market Street is open to everyone in our community, and we're here to support the men and families of Killorglin in whatever way we can.
This Father's Day week, we're asking the men in our community: what's your one step?
💚 If you or someone you know could use a bit of support, get in touch with us. 📞 066 976 1816 📧

At Killorglin Community and Family Resource Centre, we see every day how powerful play really is. It's not just fun (though it absolutely is!) — play is how children make sense of their world, build confidence, process big feelings, and connect with the people who love them.
It's at the heart of so much of what we do, from our Play Therapy service to family support programmes like Extraordinary Me.
This evening, we'd love to invite every family in our community to put the screens away for half an hour and just play — a board game, a kickabout, a den made of couch cushions. No rules, no agenda, just time together.
Great to be with our BNI Kerry Chapter colleagues and visitors this morning to let the business sector know about our Food Drive!!! Great also to hear from Helen from O'Sullivans Bakery always a great support to our initiatives... ... See MoreSee Less
