Volunteers Wanted in Killorglin – Make a Difference with ALONE
💛 Could you spare 1–2 hours a week to support an older person in your community?
ALONE is currently seeking volunteers in the Killorglin region to join our Befriending & Visitation and/or Telephone Support Services.
Whether you'd prefer to visit an older person locally for a cup of tea and a chat or make friendly weekly phone calls from the comfort of your own home, your time can make a real difference in helping to reduce loneliness and social isolation.
Volunteer Opportunities:
☕ Visitation & Befriending Volunteers
Visit an older person in your local area
Spend around 1 hour per week together
Enjoy a friendly chat and companionship
📞 Telephone Support & Befriending Volunteers
Make a few friendly calls each week
Volunteer from the comfort of your own home
Flexible commitment of up to 2 hours per week
No special experience is needed—just kindness, empathy, and a willingness to connect with others.
We're currently looking for:

Our Laune Childcare summer camp squad went wild (literally!) exploring the jungle-like magic of Kells Bay Gardens — tropical plants, secret pathways, wobbly rope bridge crossings 🌉 (brave adventurers only!), and maybe a dinosaur or two 🦖👀 It's definitely worth a visit if you haven't been!
